Cali Zoo

Hey! How is everyone? Bob & I ventured to the zoo today. It was a fantastic day. The weather cooled off a bit and cloud coverage all day long. We had read the zoo in Cali was a nice one. Well we love zoos. The animals were all out and feeling very frisky. Maybe they too enjoyed the cooler weather. We had been to many zoo while traveling so our expectations can be high. But we were pleased with the Cali zoo. The zoo was smaller than we had anticipated but very well laid out. They were missing some of the larger animals that we're used to seeing in other zoos like the Elephants, Rhinos, and the large primates. But, we experienced seeing animals we had never seen before. The Butterfly exhibit was pretty spectacular with large variety of species, water features and exotic plants. Butterflies enjoy their fruit. The 2 birds below we've never seen before. They were pretty cool looking. This is the King Vulture And this one is called the Cock of the Rock

This little monkey was so cute. He is considered the smallest of all primates.
I don't know why but the ostrich just cracks me up. They are so goofy.
Who doesn't love the bears
Especially when they are bathing
One of my favs. The Bengal Tiger. He was being photogenic for us.
The area in which the zoo was in was pretty nice. So, rather than jump in a taxi and head back to the hotel; we decided to walk the neighborhood.
Several high rises are going up and model for viewing were available. What better way to practice my Spanish. We checked out several condos and spoke with the Realtors on site. It was a blast. I now have 3 file folders of floor plans and amenities of the properties if anyone is interested. To be honest, they were kind of high priced for the quality of construction going into them. But I guess one would be paying for the area.
We have a few more days here and we're enjoying ourselves. Colombia has been a beautiful country and would recommend to others thinking about traveling here.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Much love - B&B
